URGENT CALLS TO ACTION: PLEASE HELP!

SC Tethering Bill 833

This is a bill to amend the code of laws of SC by adding a section so as to prohibit the Tethering, Fastening, Chaining, Tying or Restraining a Dog to a stationary object for any length of time. This bill will provide misdemeanor criminal penalties!

Everyone should call their local house representative (if you do not know who they are) you can look up by zip code at the following http://www.scsenate.org/cgi-bin/zipcodesearch.exe and urge them to vote in favor of this bill. Remind them that they work for us and it is an election year. Also, please call and/or send emails to the judiciary committee.

FARM BILL

Please call and email your two senators to ask for their support and a YES vote on the provision in the Farm Bill which will protect pets from Class B Dealers. Class B Dealers steal pets & obtain them from the "Free to Good Home" newspaper ads. Then, they sell the pets to dog fighting rings for use as bait animals. They also sell the pets to research labs for experimentation.

This provision is in danger of being omitted from the Farm Bill. Please, email & call today!
