Spay
Mania Updates!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, July 18, 2009
July proved to be a very busy month for the
Spay-Maniac Team! The team hit a record for the number of dogs
and cats signed up for spay/neuter surgeries. We hit the streets
at 9:00 a.m., armed with plenty of donated (thank you all!) dog
and cat food, treats, toys, dishes, fresh water and humane
education books. By 1:00, the team had exceeded its monthly
Spay-Mania budget, but when the last house visited had 11 animals
in need of spays and neuters AND their guardians we're WILLING
(and VERY thankful), you just can't say no.
Enjoy the
photos and please be reminded that the entire Speak for Animals
organization is grateful to you for your support! Without it, we
couldn't do the great work we're doing in our communities.

Just a few of the adorable animals that the Spay Mania team got to
meet in July!

John, SFA
member, consoles the mother dog, while other members cleaned and
provided food to her and her puppies.
Dear SFA Members, Friends and Supporters:
Speak for Animals (SFA) Spay-Mania Members turned back to the
streets of Judson Mill Community on Saturday, January 17th, 2009.
From the accompanying photos, you will see what drives us to
provide spay/neuter assistance to animals in this community.
Unplanned and unwanted puppies are being born in conditions not
fit for any living creature. Without the assistance from SFA and
the Spay-Mania Program, these people would not be able to afford
or understand how imperative it is to have their animals fixed.
Let the faces of the animals speak for us.
We
made our regular follow-up visits to check on animals we've helped
during past Spay-Mania Campaigns. Food, water and other supplies
we're provided where needed. In the below freezing temps, we
found numerous dogs with no or frozen buckets of water.
If
you know of a dog living on a chain, please make the effort to
check on it's condition, regularly. Ask for help if necessary -
remember, we are their voices and must speak for animals.
Want to do more for chained dogs? Let us know - write letters,
make phone calls that focus of legislation for animals. Get
involved and make a difference.
We love our supporters and thank you from
the bottoms of our hearts for your support - without you we could
not continue the incredible work that's being done for our
community. Please visit our web site for updates and other ways
that you can stay involved with SFA.
All the best,
Tricia

Remi, and her adorable dog
Rosco, receive a gift bag.
Hello Members and Friends of Speak for Animals (SFA),
The
SFA December Spay-Mania campaign had an exciting
new twist to it - in the spirit of Christmas we
handed out gift bags to the families we've worked
with during the 2008 Spay-Mania Program. Numerous
gift bags filled with donated food, hats, gloves,
scarves, coloring books,
crayons, dog and cat toys, humane education books,
videos and many other items were given out. All of
this was made possible by our members, friends and
supporters of SFA. We sincerely thank those of you
who supplied items and $ towards this Christmas
campaign. An extra special thank you to our
families who provide us their encouragement
(and patience!) to do the work we are so passionate
about.
We are
not out of the woods yet - we still have many
animals on a waiting list due to low donations.
It's not too late to make your end of year donation
to SFA. No amount is too small.
Through the attached photos you will experience
the joy we helped create and share in what we we're
able to do for these families and their animals.
