Sara Sponseller, CPA
Sara has been an animal lover since she was very young. Her first cat was a stray that she nurtured, befriended and convinced her parents to allow her to keep.
Her interest in animal behavior continued into college where she completed a research project on canine training programs in state prisons. In this program inmates are assigned a dog to train, that lives with them for a period of time and is then placed with people in need of a service animal. It is a huge benefit for the mental health and betterment of inmates by providing them a job and companionship.
While attending college, Sara volunteered with an Equine Therapy group out of Statesboro, GA. She has volunteered at animal shelters throughout her life and has enjoyed fostering with the Greenville Humane Society.
Sara is a CPA currently working for a real estate development firm in Spartanburg. She lives in Greenville with her two shelter cats (Cardi & Cricket) and her bloodhound (Copper).
